Bail Out Bag

Bag - County Comm 15 yr Anniversary bag, XL

I love this bag. I picked it up for $40, and it's definitely worth the price. I bought one in Coyote Brown, so it doesn't scream Tacticool. Looks like a standard tool bag if you're not looking too close.

Left pocket

Signal mirror - Need to find a better one, I'll probably buy a few different kinds and see how it goes.

Sewing kit - Cheap military kind I found at the PX.

Screwdriver kit - Love this thing. I need to find some hex bits and toss them in the bag as well.

Space blanket - It's not the best, but it's better than nothing. Handy for shade or to keep warm. I intend on replacing it with a Land SHARK, I just haven't gotten around to shelling out $50 plus shipping for it.

Top Center Pouch

Lensatic compass - Handy if I forget my GPS.

Waterproof match case - empty, I really don't need matches. Usually I toss in loose screws or nuts whenever I'm assembling something.

Bottom Center Pouch

Tin #1

Firesteel - Generic striker, not my first preference, but it's extremely durable. Good for thousands of lights.

Kindling - Any type of Quik Tinder seems to work fine

Peanut Lighter - I keep two of them in my tin. I'm tempted to attach more of them to my bag on pull tabs. Their construction includes an O ring that keeps the lighter fluid in the lighter for extremely long periods of time.

Tin #2

Really not sure what to put in here at the moment, I'll think of something. Maybe extra shoe strings or whatnot.

Right Pouch

550 cord

Duct Tape

Epoxy tube

There's nothing that can't be fixed with a combination of cord, tape and epoxy.

Top left

Pens - Red, green, blue, black.

Sharpie

Top Center

Keychain LED fobs - I found them for $1 per, and $2 for the clippy kind. So I bought a half dozen in white, red and blue. They're as cheap or cheaper than glow sticks, and brighter.

Half dozen glow sticks - Yea yea, I found a bundle of glowsticks on sale so I tossed them in my kit. I plan on using them and not replacing them.

Keychain - A&P keychain, very handy and very reasonably priced.

Mini Wedgy prybar - I don't use it much, but it's light and I like it. The few times I've needed it, it was a much better alternative than using a knife as a prybar.

Technician pen - I really don't need it, but it's handy to have on a keychain.

P51 can opener - I went with a larger version of the P38 as I have large hands and I really don't want to spend forever opening cans.

Razor blade - Very handy for precision cutting, like cloth and such. I try to use it as little as possible.

Saw blade - So so saw. I need a pull chain type, but I haven't gotten around to buying one yet.

Shorty sharpie - Picked it up for a buck at Home Depot. Use it pretty often to label boxes and such.

Top Right

Multitool - Quick easy access

Knife - Usually used on boxes

Bottom Pocket

TwinTask streamlight - I picked it up at a hardware store on discount. It uses 3 C cell batteries, and has LED + a xenon bulb. You can use either independently, or both for maximum light. There's room for a larger flashlight or a second one. I just prefer not to drop an extremely large amount of cash on a flashlight I use infrequently.

Small toiletry Bag - Toothbrush, tooth paste, Listerine packets, hand sanitizer, Tide laundry detergent packets, trash bags, etc.
